DOWN THE DRAIN

                      - Collage
Sun 8th December 2024
“Down the Drain”, is a repeated lino print (10x15cm) created ilustrating what it’s like to literally ‘shit out your spoons’ or in other words, energy. It is printed on a series of coloured papers and wheat-pasted (Guerrilla glue) onto wood.

Ulcerative colitis is a bowel disease which means hours are spent stuck on the toilet by debilitating pain.

29 100x150mm lino prints, printed on A5 coloured construction paper and A4 white newsprint and then torn to size. These prints were then wheat-pasted onto wood and drilled through into the wall.

Close-ups of prints on purple and green construction paper and white newsprint.
The Words in the print read: “WASTED ENERGY”, “DOWN THE DRAIN”, “IT’S SHIT”.

See ‘Spoon Theory’ explained in the Glossary
